Introducing NG Moederkerk Stellenbosch
NG Moederkerk Stellenbosch is the second oldest church in the whole of South Africa, and it is still being used today. The church was established in 1686, and is situated right in the centre of Stellenbosch. With our church community we strive to become a River of Live Water for God. To achieve this, we offer each of our members the correct care, tools and ministry, to allow them to find and create a personal and lasting connection with God.
Here, we do not want to focus on hosting a bunch of church activities every now and again, we rather want to focus on utilising the power of God in our church, to truly make a difference in society, both personally and communally.
What we offer
At the NG Moederkerk Stellenbosch, we want to ensure that our church members have all the tools, care and ministry services they need in order to become diligent followers of God. We encourage all members to be active in the community and so doing, encourage a positive change in society.
Our services, for various members of our church, include:
- Worship Services (we offer services in a classical and a more modern, informal style)
- Services for the young ones (we offer services to children from toddlers, to teenagers – they are split into individual groups)
- Baptisms
- Weddings (and also wedding preparation services)
- Smaller Group gatherings (to let your relationship with God grow even stronger, by worshipping with others)
